The promise
No information about you or your conversations with the coach is sent to LifeSpark without your explicit consent.
LifeSpark is a self-improvement game and a coaching aid. You talk with the coach on the agent platform. The hearth at lifespark.net is the scoreboard. This page covers what the hearth stores. It does not cover the agent platform that holds the chat.
What is stored
When you agree to create a hearth, LifeSpark stores your name, and an email address only if you give one. Email is used for beta updates and account recovery.
After that, LifeSpark stores the goals, milestones, habits, sparks, and logs you ask the coach to save. A log can include a title, a date, a feeling, an amount, and a note you included. It also stores settings you set: the hearth scene, a sleep target, quiet hours, the day your week starts, your time zone, your season, and how often a fire is checked.
A hard-season flag is stored when you agree to turn that mode on. A commitment is stored when you make one, in your words. A next-step offer is stored only after you accept it, decline it, or say later.
A context summary, coaching note, or reflection is stored only after you agree to that exact text. Product feedback is stored only after you approve the exact paraphrase. LifeSpark keeps those words. It does not keep a separate note about how the coach noticed them.
Sleep, workouts, and meals from Apple Health are stored only after you agree to connect it. The nightly shortcut then sends that summary. It reads Health. It cannot change Health.
LifeSpark also keeps the scores derived from those logs (heat, stage, and history), an unguessable link to your hearth, and a short security log of account actions such as sign-up, export, and deletion. That log is not your chat. Deleting the hearth deletes it too.
LifeSpark does not store raw chat transcripts. The transcript stays on the agent platform and is not sent here.
When someone tries to join or sign in, LifeSpark keeps a short-lived counter for that connection's IP address so an invite code cannot be guessed. The counter is not added to a hearth and it is not a copy of a conversation.
Invite codes an owner creates can outlive that owner's account. Deletion clears the link to their name. The code itself stays until it is used up or revoked.
How consent works
Before the coach creates your hearth, it tells you what will be stored and waits for a clear yes. Silence or an unclear answer creates nothing.
The coach saves a log only when you ask, or when you clearly confirm a question such as “Want me to log that workout?” Something you mention in passing is not a yes. Silence, a change of subject, or an unclear answer is a no.
Feedback is stricter. The coach may offer to pass along something you loved or something that bothered you. Before anything is sent, the coach shows the exact paraphrase in quotes and waits for a clear yes in your next message. The server rejects feedback that does not include that yes and those same words.
Apple Health stays off until you say yes. You can skip it.
California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask LifeSpark to know, delete, and correct the personal information it has about you.
To know: ask the coach for your export, or email michael@pivotcourse.com. The export is the goals, logs, notes, feedback, and other hearth data described above.
To delete: ask the coach to delete your hearth, or email the same address. Deletion removes the account and the data stored with it.
To correct: ask the coach to fix a log, a goal, or a note, or email the same address.
LifeSpark does not sell personal information. LifeSpark does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site has no advertising trackers.
Export and deletion
Ask the coach for a copy of your data. You can also ask the coach to delete the hearth. Deletion is permanent.
